Why are you a part of Sweden + Spain Green Alliance?: Sustainability is part of Systemair’s DNA and represents a clear commitment to our investors. Within the company’s sustainability policies, the development of products that generate the lowest possible carbon footprint is a key pillar.

How does your company contribute to the green transition?: We contribute to the green transition by focusing on two key areas. On the one hand, through sustainable operations: the use of certified renewable electricity, LED lighting, photovoltaic production, and upgrades with state-of-the-art machinery, for example. On the other hand, we ensure that our products are sustainable from the very beginning. Sustainability is a priority from the product design stage and remains present throughout its entire life cycle — including material selection, emissions during operation, and even eventual recycling.

Sustainability goals: Systemair has four sustainability pillars:

  • Sustainable workplaces: where everyone can work with equal opportunities.
  • Sustainable operations: to ensure that our production has the lowest possible impact on the environment.
  • Efficient products: designed and manufactured to minimise their carbon footprint during both production and operation.
  • Responsible business: because we are committed to staying away from unethical market practices, such as corruption.

Highlighted project(s) in Spain/Sweden: At both the Txagorritxu Hospital and the Torrecárdenas Hospital, the existing air handling units were replaced with Geniox units, resulting in improved energy efficiency.

In these projects, it was essential for the units to comply with the UNE 100713 standard, offer maximum corrosion resistance (C5) — which we achieved thanks to the ZM310 casing — and include plastic components that meet ISO 846 requirements.

The heat recovery systems used, featuring anti-corrosion treatment and stainless-steel condensate trays, ensure optimal energy efficiency and exceptional durability.
